Prince Harry ‘will fly back to US just two hours after coronation ceremony ends’

Prince Harry may be on a jet back to the US just two hours after King Charles’ coronation ends, it has been claimed.

The Duke of Sussex will reportedly be in a hurry to return home for his son Archie’s fourth birthday on May 6.

‘Harry will be in and out of the UK in 24 hours. He will only be doing the coronation service then leaving,’ an insider quoted by The Sun said.

The full details of Harry’s travel plans cannot be published for security reasons but they have been speculated.

It is believed he will arrive in London on Friday, stay at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor overnight and attend his dad’s Coronation the next morning.

The ceremony takes place between 11am and 1pm and Harry could be in the air by 3pm to land back home in the early evening of his son’s birthday.

Meghan Markle will not be attending the royal event and will remain at the couple’s home in California.

A source quoted by the Daily Telegraph said a letter she had reportedly sent a letter to Charles voicing her concerns over unconscious bias in the royal family was one of the reasons she was missing the event.

But a spokesperson for Meghan said: ‘The Duchess of Sussex is going about her life in the present, not thinking about correspondence from two years ago related to conversations from four years ago.

‘Any suggestion otherwise is false and frankly ridiculous.

‘We encourage tabloid media and various royal correspondents to stop the exhausting circus that they alone are creating.’

As preparations for the ceremony at Westminster Abbey spearhead, speculations about what a reunion between Harry, Charles and Prince William would look like have only intensified.

But a reconciliation seems unlikely if Harry will be in the UK for such a short time.

Princess Diana’s former butler, Paul Burrell, has claimed the Palace will seat Harry 10 rows back from the rest of the family at the coronation.

He told GB News the Duke of Sussex ‘does not want to spend much time around them’.

But the feeling seems to be mutual as Mr Burrell said Harry, who is fifth in line to the throne, will get a ‘very icy reception from the Windsors’.

‘It is not a surprise, he is coming to show face. He is coming to put his foot in the door and he is coming because his father wants him to be there,’ Mr Burrell said.
