Prince Harry has revealed secrets from within the Royal Family in his new book.

Spare, officially released today, touches on his relationship with Prince William, Meghan Markle and King Charles.

Many of the key revelations had been leaked early after copies of Spare were found in Spanish bookshops last week.

Various other members of the Royal Family are also mentioned, often in passing, within its pages.

Meghan Markle (435)

Harry’s wife is referred to as ‘Megs’ 435 times and as Meghan 18 times.

He writes how she was offered Marmite crumpets when she first met Charles and Camilla for tea at Clarence House – and didn’t wear much make-up because Charles ‘didn’t approve of women who wore a lot’.

Arguments, such as when Meghan and Kate clashed in the run-up to the Royal Wedding, are also featured.

Harry refers to his brother as Willy 349 times and as William – nine times.

His brother was a self-confessed ‘Suits Superfan’ when he first mentioned his new wife.

But tensions soon emerged. Harry claims he was physically attacked by his brother and knocked to the floor during a furious confrontation.

Harry also references his older sibling’s lack of hair and even likens him Stewie Griffin.

Princess Diana (342)

Fond memories, regrets and unanswered questions about Harry’s mother are a frequent theme.

She is referred to as ‘mummy’ 206 times, ‘mother’ 112 times, ‘mum’ 19 and Diana five times.

Near the end of Spare, Harry details a poignant visit he and Meghan shared at his mother’s grave.

King Charles (310)

His Majesty The King is proclaimed at the Accession Council in the State Apartments of St James's Palace, London. The Accession Council, attended by Privy Councillors, is divided into two parts. In part I, the Privy Council, without The King present, proclaims the Sovereign and part II where The King holds the first meeting of His Majesty's Privy Council. The Accession Council is followed by the first public reading of the Principal Proclamation read from the balcony overlooking Friary Court at St James's Palace. The new monarch is referred to as ‘Pa’ by Harry, and mentioned 310 times.

He is often featured trying to keep the peace between his sons.

Harry claims he and his father shared little emotion together and that he was ‘not hugged’ when Charles told him of Diana’s death.

Buckingham Palace has not responded to any of the content in Spare.

The Queen (192)

Harry’s fond memories from within the Royal Family revolve around the Queen and memories from Balmoral.

He refers to his grandmother as ‘Granny’ and mentions her 192 times.

Harry revealed his final words to the Queen and how how he hoped she had been reunited with Prince Philip.

The Princess of Wales (104)

Kate is mentioned 104 times in Spare, often alongside William.

Harry wrote: ‘I liked seeing Kate laugh. Better yet, I liked making her laugh. And i was quiite good at it. My transparently silly side connected with her heavily disguised silly side.

‘Whenever I was worried that Kate was going to be the one to take Willy from me, I consoled myself with thoughts of all our future laughing fits together, and I told myself how great everything would be when I had a serious girlfriend who could laugh along with us.’

But Harry also alleges it was William and the Princess of Wales who encouraged him to wear a Nazi uniform to a fancy dress party 2005 and ‘howled’ with laughter when they saw it.

The Queen Consort (62)

Camilla is mentioned 62 times in the memoir, with little love seemingly lost between her and Harry.

In the biography, Spare, he described contemplating the prospect of the now-Queen Consort becoming their ‘wicked stepmother’.

He describes her appearing ‘bored’ during a sit-down, which he says was ‘pure formality’ because he was not the heir.

Harry reportedly claims he and William promised Charles they would welcome Camilla into the family.

But in exchange they ‘begged’ him not to get married a second time following the death of their mother, Diana.

Marko (64)

Marko, Prince Harry’s ‘second dad’, is frequently mentioned alongside Harry’s teenage antics. Full name Mark Dyer, he was dispatched from the Royal Household to Eton to ‘tell off’ the young royal.

The pair also travelled together and Harry viewed him as a mentor.

The Queen Mother (48)

Early in Spare, Harry details the declining health of his great-grandmother. He mentions her, as ‘Gan Gan’ 48 times in the memoir.

Prince Philip is referred to as ‘grandpa’ by Harry and features heavily in the opening chapters.

His ‘icy sense of humour’ is mentioned.

Harry writes: ‘I recalled one particular shooting weekend years ago. A mate, just trying to make conversation, asked Grandpa what he thought of my new beard, which had been causing concern in the family and controversy in the press.

‘Should the Queen Force Prince Harry to Shave? Grandpa looked at my mate, looked at my chin, broke into a devilish grin. THAT’S no beard!’

Archie (26)

Harry and Meghan’s son Archie is scattered through the final chapters of the book, he is also mentioned in the dedication.

The opening page reads: ‘For Meg and Archie and Lili … and, of course, my mother.’

Tiggy (17)

Tiggy was William and Harry’s ‘favourite nanny’, following his parents’ divorce, he writes. Harry admits his mother didn’t see it that way, however.

He wrote: ‘Mummy saw Tiggy not as a nanny but as a rival. It’s common knowledge that Mummy suspected Tiggy was being groomed as her future replacement. (Did Mummy see Tiggy as her Spare?)

‘Now this same woman whom Mummy feared as her possible replacement was her actual replacement – how dreadful for Mummy.’

Prince Andrew (5)

The disgraced Duke of York is only mentioned a handful of times. His association with Jeffrey Epstein and the surrounding scandal is confined to one single line.

Harry writes: ‘He was embroiled in a shameful scandal, accused of the sexual assault of a young woman, and no one had so much as suggested that he lose his security.’

He also adds that Meghan initially thought Andrew was the Queen’s assistant when they first met.

She asked Harry who ‘the man holding the purse’ was.

Lilibet (3)

Young Lilibet, the newest addition to Harry and Meghan’s family, also features in his dedication.

She would ‘cuddle’ her family members shins, her father wrote fondly.
