Netflix has confirmed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s bombshell documentary will be released in two parts very soon.
The programme will show the Duke and Duchess of Sussex giving their side of the story, and many are bracing about what the contents might hold.
Dropping a new trailer, the streaming giant confirmed that volume one of the documentary, titled Harry & Meghan: A Global Event, will be released on December 8.
Volume two is coming a week later, on December 15.
The new trailer focuses on how public opinion towards Meghan seemingly changed suddenly, with Harry saying: ‘The pain and suffering of women marrying into this institution, this feeding frenzy…’
Meghan adds: ‘I realised, “They’re never gonna protect you.”‘
Seemingly referring to his mother, Princess Diana, Harry went on: ‘I was terrified. I didn’t want history to repeat itself.’
In August, Meghan spoke to The Cut about what viewers can expect from the documentary, explaining that it would shine a spotlight on her relationship with her husband.
‘The piece of my life I haven’t been able to share, that people haven’t been able to see, is our love story,’ she said.
In September 2020, after stepping down as senior working members of the royal family, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed a multi-million dollar deal with the streaming platform.
The deal involved working with the company to create a variety of productions, including scripted shows, documentaries and children’s programmes, in collaboration with their own company, Archewell Productions.
Harry & Meghan: A Global Event, volume one, will hit Netflix on December 8.
