Prince Harry has found himself at the centre of police inquiries after driving to help a friend who was mugged of his mobile phone while speaking to the royal.

Harry , 27, quickly realised Thomas van Straubenzee was in trouble and drove to the crime scene in Battersea, south west London.
He eventually found his friend nearby at Wandsworth police station where he was reporting his BlackBerry as stolen.
Mr van Straubenzee, who escaped the attack unharmed, gave a statement to officers before Harry himself gave a statement about what he had heard.
