Prince William’s friendship with Tom Bradby has ended after 20 years after the journalist ‘sided’ with Harry and Meghan, it has been claimed.

The high-profile journalist has interviewed the Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex in the past, and was known to have a friendship with both brothers.

William chose the ITV news anchor for his exclusive engagement interview back in 2010, and even invited him to the wedding at Westminster Abbey.

But according to Mail Online columnist Dan Wootton, royal insiders say William has recently felt ‘let down’ by Bradby, who was seen as instrumental to ITV securing Harry and Meghan’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.

‘William is a sensitive soul and believes it’s in times of crisis when you find out who your true friends are,’ the source told the Mail.

‘It would be fair to say Bradby hasn’t been one of them.’

The source claimed certain Palace staff are ‘even angrier’ at Bradby’s allegedly ‘pro-Harry and Meghan’ reporting of their dramatic exit from The Firm.

‘It’s well-known Bradby personally communicates with Harry on a regular basis and that is pretty obvious to royal aides who know how things work,’ the source added.

‘But it’s been very difficult to accept given the long history between Bradby and William.’

Bradby spoke to Meghan and Harry exclusively during their tour of Africa in 2019.

In the documentary, Meghan said ‘not many people have asked if I’m okay’ in what was seen as a dig at the royal family.

‘It’s a very real thing to go through behind the scenes…it has really been a struggle,’ she said.

Harry also used the film to publicly confirm a feud with William, admitting they were ‘on different paths’.

In her interview with Oprah last month, Meghan revealed she had suicidal thoughts after moving to England, telling the chat show host: ‘I just didn’t want to be alive anymore.’

She also alleged an unnamed member of the Royal Family raised ‘concerns and conversations’ about how dark her son Archie’s skin might be before he was born.

Buckingham Palace said the whole family was ‘saddened’ by the ‘serious allegations’ which they said would ‘be addressed by the family privately’.
