Winnie-The-Pooh celebrates birth of Royal baby as beloved character visits Harry and Meghan and we’re crying

As the nation, nay the world, celebrates the birth of Royal Baby Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, Winnie-The-Pooh has made his way to meet the little one.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex this week welcomed their baby son, and in a sweet nod to the new arrival Disney has put together a sweet animation of Pooh heading to Windsor.

And it’s only taken us 20 seconds and a few watercolour snapshots to be babbling messes on the floor, in a pool of our own tears.

Hand-drawn by Disney’s Senior Principal Artist, Kim Raymond, the heart-warming story released today is a touching gift from Disney, depicting the world’s favourite bear delivering a special hum to their new son.

In the 25-second clip Pooh sets off from the One Hundred Acre Wood with a royal delivery of a book tucked under his arm.

As he navigates the Long Walk, steams and forests on his way, you can soon see Windsor Castle in the distance.

In the final frame that’ll really bring on the waterworks if you’re as soft as we are, Archie’s recently announced name can be seen on his cot as Pooh sits beside Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in their Windsor home as they sift through the present.

The family is said to share a bond with the character, after Harry reportedly bought a rare first edition AA Milne book for his nephew Prince Louis’ christening.

That and Meghan once cited Winnie-the-Pooh book The Tig as a favourite on her blog.

It comes after the world was yesterday introduced to the new royal, in a delightful photocall with parents and baby.

That came as they introduced little Archie to his great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, with his parents picking that time to announce his name.

‘The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are pleased to announce they have named their first born child: Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor,’ they wrote on their Instagram.

‘This afternoon Their Royal Highnesses introduced Her Majesty The Queen to her eighth great-grandchild at Windsor Castle. The Duke of Edinburgh and The Duchess’ mother were also present for this special occasion.’
