Picture the scene: You’re a young single girl and you get offered the opportunity to star in a reality TV contest with the ultimate promise that one lucky winner will get to marry (yes, marry!) Prince Harry. It’s the stuff dreams are made of, no?
Well this dream is a reality for 12 lucky American girls.
Only it’s all one big spoof.
‘I Wanna Marry “Harry”‘ will follow 12 ladies vying for the prince’s attention while living with him at Englefield House in Berkshire.
Of course the real Prince Harry – who just happens to be in a pretty serious relationship with socialite Cressida Bonas – won’t actually be in the house with them because he’s not actually got anything to do with the show.

Instead, Harry imposter Matthew Hicks, who is just your average Joe, has been made to look like the flame-haired royal and will be pulling the wool over the girls’ eyes for the entire series.
Providing none of he unsuspecting ladies rumble him (and let’s face it, the fact they’ve even signed up to the show points to them not having the foggiest), Hicks won’t be revealing he’s actually a wannabe prince until the very end of the show.
The show – which has a tagline of ‘Will he be able to convince them he’s regal, and if he does, will they fall for the crown or fall in love with the real him?’ – is being produced by Ryan Seacrest and ZigZag Productions.
‘I wanna Marry “Harry”‘ will air on May 27 on FOX.
