Prince Harry called home from Afghanistan to congratulate the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge when they announced they were expecting their first child, and says he ‘can’t wait to be an uncle’, it can be revealed.
In a number of interviews conducted before his tour of Afghanistan came to an end, and which can be reported now following the lifting of a media blackout, the prince said he was ‘thrilled’ for his brother and sister-in-law.
St James’s Palace announced in December that Kate was pregnant, and she is due to give birth in July.
