One of Prince William and Prince Harry’s best friends has been handed a driving ban after he was clocked doing 129mph in a £100,000 supercar.
Guy Pelly, who is believed to have helped organise William’s stag do, was caught by a speed gun in his Audi R8 V10, a court heard.
The 30-year-old’s car was spotted from about 1km away by PC Adrian Ridley, who said it was travelling ‘significantly faster’ than the other traffic around it.
The officer, who has 20 years experience, told the court: ‘It’s not an option at all that there was something wrong with the reading.’
Nightclub entrepreneur Pelly admitted exceeding the 70mph limit on the A303 near Cholderton, Salisbury.
