Meghan Markle revealed she is ‘thrilled’ to be working back in the entertainment industry alongside her husband Prince Harry.

She told Variety magazine she is ‘really proud’ of the projects they have made so far through their production company, Archewell Productions.

The Duchess of Sussex said on the red carpet of the Power of Women event in Los Angeles last night that she wants to create ‘things that make people feel’ as well as ‘a sense of community’.

‘We have so many exciting things on the slate,’ she added.

‘I can’t wait until we can announce them, but I’m just really proud of what we’re creating. My husband is loving it too which is really fun.

‘I think the more we support each other it just amplifies the work, amplifies our community and I’m just thrilled to be back in it and to be able to sit in this room and be in such good company tonight.’

The former Suits actress, 42, was seen at the event celebrating the accomplishments of women in entertainment wearing a camel, off the shoulder dress and her hair in a slicked bun.

She posed alongside Billie Eilish, Margot Robbie and Carey Mulligan at the star-studded affair.

Her appearance comes just after the launch of Netflix’s final series of The Crown, which focuses on the death of Harry’s mum, Princess Diana.

Claims have also been made in a new book that Prince William ignored Harry’s calls as the late Queen lay dying last year.

The couple’s biographer, Omid Scobie, is set to release his new book Endgame at the end of the month.

The full cost of Prince Harry’s legal battle with the government over the scaling back of his protective security was also revealed yesterday.

Since the launch of Archewell Productions, Meghan and Harry have launched a doco-series about their lives, and a series following competitors in the Invictus Games.

The Power of Women event also saw British actress Emily Blunt honoured for her ‘dedication to helping children overcome stuttering through education resources’.

During her speech, she said: ‘It is a disability that lives very often in the shadows alongside its great friends – fear, shame and humiliation.

‘…A stutter is like an imposer that is living in your body that doesn’t pay rent, ever.’
