King Charles received a heartfelt video birthday message from Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet to mark his 75th birthday.
Prince Harry and Meghan also shared a ‘warm conversation’ with the King to mark the monarch’s birthday – a ‘turning point’ in their recently frosty relationship, it was claimed.
The King is sure to be thrilled after hearing from his two long-distance grandchildren – his eldest son, Prince William, previously said his father was ‘brilliant’ with his own three children.
Known as ‘Grandpa Wales’ to the youngsters, Charles has said the births of his five grandchildren reminded him of the ‘necessity of continued innovation’ of green technology.
But Charles was reportedly delighted to speak with his youngest son, and the pair ended on an agreement to speak again next week, The Telegraph reported.
The two have allegedly gone years without speaking, until Harry, 39, called alongside his wife Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex.
It’s a sharp turn from earlier this year, when the Duke revealed he barely communicates with his father and brother, but was looking forward to ‘finding peace’ with them.
Harry didn’t receive a birthday message this year from his father despite sharing hopes to restore the relationship.
In a candid conversation with Anderson Cooper, Harry said they looked forward to being able to put their differences aside.
‘At the heart of it, there is a family, without question. And I really look forward to having that family element back,’ Harry said.
‘I look forward to having a relationship with my brother. I look forward to having a relationship with my father and other members of my family.’
Cooper asked: ‘You want that?’
Harry concluded: ‘That’s all I’ve ever asked for.’
