An alleged stalker was arrested after he was spotted outside Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s home in the middle of the night.
Kevin Garcia Valdovinos was reportedly ‘lurking’ outside the couple’s mansion in the USA at around 2am yesterday.
The 29-year-old was arrested outside the house in Montecito, California after security staff alerted local police, reports TMZ.
He was initially placed under citizens arrest at the entrance to the property by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s security team.
Once cops arrived at the scene, he was taken into custody and charged with misdemeanor stalking.
He was later released on £2,000 ($2,500) bail.
A spokesperson for the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Office told TMZ it was called to the address.
The law under which Valdovinos was arrested indicates it’s not the first time he has committed such an offence.
According to TMZ, he didn’t make it on to the property.
It’s not known if Harry and Meghan, or either of their children Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, one, were at home when the incident happened.
The couple were both at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in Manhattan last night where Meghan was accepting her Woman of Vision award.
Last year, two intruders targeted the house in the space of 12 days.
An intruder previously trespassed on their property back in 2020.
He was caught on Christmas Eve and handed a warning before returning to the property two days later on Boxing Day when he was arrested for trespassing.
