All eyes have been on the Royal Family following the death of Queen Elizabeth II on September 8.

Britain’s longest-reigning monarch died with her family at her side at their Balmoral estate, Bucking Palace has confirmed.

Since Her Majesty’s passing, King Charles III has ascended to the throne and the head of the British monarchy.

Many Brits have been focused on the Royal Family during this time as they enter their official period of mourning.

King Charles has been joined by his two sons, Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Cornwall, and Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, during this time, with the pair said to have ‘put aside their differences’ to have dinner together with the Royal Family on Tuesday night, reports suggest.

The new heir to the throne and his brother were accompanied by their respective wives, Kate, Princess of Wales and Duchess of Cambridge and Cornwall, and Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, for the meal at Buckingham Palace, according to Page Six.

The pair had reportedly been estranged after ‘Megxit’and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, but have been putting on a united front in the wake of their grandmother’s death.

There have been many changes in the Royal Family following the death of The Queen, including that of titles.

So what are Prince William and Harry’s titles, as well as their full names and surnames?

What is Prince William’s full name, surname, and titles?

On Prince William’s birth certificate, his official name is printed as ‘His Royal Highness William Arthur Philip Louis’.

Though his birth certificate has no surname – anyone with an ‘HRH’ as part of their name, is not required to have one – he had been known by a few during his lifetime.

William has used the family surname, ‘Mountbatten-Windsor’, as created by the late Queen and husband Prince Phillip to be used by all those who needed a surname for official documents or for those who did not have official royal titles.

However, he has also used the surname ‘Wales’, a nod to his father the former Prince of Wales, during his time in school, and while working in the Royal Navy, the Royal Air Force, and as an air ambulance pilot.

Prince William, formerly known as the Duke of Cambridge, had his title expanded to the Duke of Cornwall and Cambridge. He also inherited the title of Prince of Wales from his father, who is now King Charles III.

He has also inherited the Scottish titles of the Duke of Rothesay, Earl of Carrick, Baron of Renfrew, Lord of the Isles, and Prince and Great Steward of Scotland.

What is Prince Harry’s full name, surname, and titles?

Though we know him as Prince Harry, the full name on his birth certificate is Henry Charles Albert David.

Harry is a common diminutive form of his real name and is used by those who know him including family, friends, and in extension the general public.

Like his brother, there is no surname on his birth certificate.

However, now Harry has stepped down from royal duties, along with his wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and their children, Archie and Lilibet, he has access to the family surname, Mountbatten-Windsor.

This is because they do not have the style of ‘Royal Highness’ but are still members of the Royal Family.

In 2018, Harry was made Duke of Sussex prior to his wedding to American actress Meghan Markle, who is now the Duchess of Sussex.
