Meghan has awkward exchange with aide over flowers during Windsor walkabout

Meghan Markle was filmed insisting she kept a mourner’s bouquet of flowers when an aide tried to take them during her walkabout with Kate and William.

Royal fans were left stunned when Prince Harry and the duchess united with the new Prince and Princess of Wales on Saturday.

Both couples took their time chatting with the crowds who gathered to pay their respects to the Queen outside Windsor Castle.

The ‘Fab Four’ shook hands and took flowers from the wellwishers, with Meghan even hugging a young girl at one point.

The duchess was then seen telling an aide she wanted to keep a bouquet because she promised to make sure they got taken to the castle gates.

‘I told them I would place (the flowers) over there, so you’re good,’ Meghan appeared to say.

‘Thank you, I appreciate that.’

The aide then stepped back and Meghan continued greeting fans.

The duchess later handed the roses to a different aide, but she pointed to the gates, seemingly to make sure the tribute got taken where promised.

Seeing the siblings and their wives together would have been a big moment for fans amid the drama since Harry and Meghan quit as senior royals and moved to the US.

Reports say William, on his own volition, decided to send a last-minute text inviting them to join him and Kate on the walkabout.

Suggestions that the Prince made the move after hearing Harry was planning to undertake his own walkabout with a film crew were ‘complete b******s’, the Daily Mail was told.
