Prince Harry could be set to return to Afghanistan, as he is to train to fly Apache helicopters.
The royal yesterday received his provisional wings from his father the Prince of Wales at Hampshire’s Army Air Corps Army Aviation Centre.


And Prince Harry’s office confirmed he has been chosen to train on the attack aircraft, with commanders believing it is best suited to his flying abilities and skills.
Designed to locate and destroy armoured vehicles, the Apache is used to provide cover for Chinook helicopters in Afghanistan and its range of weapons include rockets, Hellfire missiles and a 30mm chain gun.
