Prince Harry said a ‘large part’ of why he and Meghan left the UK was due to racism.

He claimed while his wife was facing racist comments, someone told him: ‘Please don’t do this with the media. They will destroy your life.’

Harry said: ‘This person is friends with a lot of the editors.’

He asked them to ‘elaborate’ on what they meant, and his source said: ‘You have to understand, the UK is very bigoted.’

The prince added: ‘I stopped, and I said, “The UK is not bigoted, the UK press is bigoted, specifically the tabloids. Is that what you mean?”

‘And he goes, “No, the UK is bigoted.” And I said, “I completely disagree…”‘

Harry then said: ‘But unfortunately, if the source of the information is inherently corrupt or racist or biased, then that filters out to the rest of society.’

The further dramatic revelations come as CBS This Morning revealed more unaired clips from Oprah Winfrey’s bombshell interview with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

In a preview for the programme tweeted last night, CBS host Gayle King – who is also Oprah’s friend – said there had been a ‘whole lot of chatter’ about the interview.

And a tweet from the show said: ‘Oprah Winfrey will join us live with never-before-seen clips from her interview with Duchess of Sussex, Meghan and Prince Harry.’

It comes after Oprah promised at the end of the interview that ‘this conversation doesn’t end here’ and there was ‘so much more that we couldn’t fit into this special’.

More previously unaired clips shown on CBS this morning included a revelation from Prince Harry that the Queen invited him to lunch amid Megxit talks, then suddenly cancelled on him after claiming she was too busy.

The two-hour explosive conversation – first aired on CBS and being shown on ITV tonight at 9pm – has sent shockwaves across the world amid strong accusations about the Royal Family.

Meghan revealed she had thoughts of suicide and self-harm as she struggled with royal life.

She also alleged an unnamed member of the Royal Family raised ‘concerns’ about how dark her son Archie’s skin might be when he’s born.

But Harry revealed in a new clip today that the Queen and Prince Philip were not behind the racist comments.

Harry, who joined his wife for the second part of the interview, also told Oprah of his relationship with his brother: ‘The relationship is “space” at the moment. Time heals all things, hopefully.’

The couple also revealed their second child is going to be a girl.
