The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are promoting a month of positivity on social media.

To mark the start of March, Harry and Meghan chose one account to follow on their popular Instagram account. The Sussexes revealed they would be following the TanksGoodNews page, an American account that shares ‘positivity with a hint of humor’.

Their stories include a 100-year-old woman celebrating her ‘25th birthday’ on a leap year and some stranded dolphins that were saved by a human chain.

The couple wrote: ‘Happy 1st of March everyone! This month, we continue on the good news path and are pleased to be following @TanksGoodNews, as a reminder of all the good that is happening in the world.

‘We hope it uplifts and inspires you! Images and footage used are from the account we are now following.’

The positive news account said they were ‘royally blessed as they responded: ‘This is amazing! What a great thing to wake up to. I am honored. Let’s have a great month everybody.’

It comes as Harry returned to the UK from Canada this week to begin a series of royal engagements.

They will likely to be his last before he steps down from official duties on March 31.

The Sussexes are living in Canada with their baby son Archie Mountbatten-Windsor as they prepare to drop their HRH styles and quit the monarchy.

Buckingham Palace said their new life away from royal duties would begin in the spring of this year.

Harry and Meghan’s month of positive news follows a theme of similar accounts they followed in February and January.

Last month they promoted Global Positive News and in January they chose the Good News Movement.

Michelle Figueroa, the journalist behind Good News Movement, was given ‘no heads up at all’ before the couple featured her page, she told People magazine.

She said: ‘I just sent them a note, a direct message, in appreciation. But I haven’t heard back and I figured, you know, just let it be. They’re plenty busy.’
