
Publicity surrounding Prince Harry’s role in Afghanistan could provoke new terror attacks on Britain, radical cleric Omar Bakri Mohammad has warned.
The firebrand preacher said the Prince’s presence in Afghanistan was a “crime” and would be used as a recruiting tool for al Qaida.
Speaking from the Lebanon, he said footage of Harry fighting against the Taliban would radicalise young British Muslims.
And he warned the Prince himself would become a top target for militants. He said: “The Muslim community in Britain will be upset by it and there may be more people who go out of control. They may use (Prince Harry) to recruit some people and commit another attack.”
He said because the Prince was behaving as a “big man, tough man”, he would also be more of a target.
