Do you have the social media savvy to rack up the Royal Family’s followers?

The Queen is looking for someone with ‘creative flair’ who can maintain her ‘presence in the public eye and on the world stage’.

It could include leading a small team of media specialists to cover a State Visit or a Royal engagement in a way that appeals to social media users young and old.

The family’s new Head of Digital Engagement is being offered between £45,000 and £50,000 working 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

A job advert shared on LinkedIn and the Royal Household website says the role is about ‘knowing your content will be viewed by millions’.

The post adds: ‘It’s about never standing still and finding new ways to maintain The Queen’s presence in the public eye and on the world stage. This is what makes working for the Royal Household exceptional.

‘The reaction to our work is always high-profile, and so reputation and impact will be at the forefront of all you do.

‘And having your work shared around the world will be the biggest reward.’

The Royal Family has 4.1 million followers on Twitter compared to 6.9 million on Instagram and 4.9 million on Facebook.

A number of family members have their own accounts including Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The Queen’s job posting says candidates must have ‘exemplary and compelling writing and editorial skills’ and experience managing social media networks for a high profile organisation.

Applicants have until December 24 to apply and interviews will take place in January 2020.
