Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have joined Kate Middleton and Prince William at the annual Festival of Remembrance in their first joint appearance since Prince Harry addressed rumours of a rift.

Harry admitted he and his brother were on ‘different paths’ in an emotional TV interview with Tom Bradby in October.

All four joined Queen Elizabeth and Prime Minister Boris Johnson in the royal box for the event at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday evening.

The service was also attended by Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex and Sophie, Countess of Wessex.

Other attendees included Brigitte, Duchess of Gloucester, Princess Anne and Sir Tim Lawrence.

The event marks 75 years since notable battles of 1944, including Monte Cassino, Kohima and Imphal, D-Day and the collaboration of Commonwealth and Allied forces.

It also celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Government Communications Headquarters and pays tribute to RFA Mounts Bay, which delivered aid to the Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian.

The ceremony is hosted by the Royal British Legion and commemorates those who have lost their lives in conflicts.

Harry and Meghan’s ITV interview saw the prince admit that the siblings had ‘good days and bad days’.

He said: ‘We are brothers. We will always be brothers.

‘We are certainly on different paths at the moment but I will always be there for him as I know he will always be there for me.

‘We don’t see each other as much as we used to because we are so busy but I love him dearly.

‘The majority of the stuff is created out of nothing but as brothers, you know, you have good days, you have bad days.’

The couple also addressed their struggles with public life, with former actress Meghan appearing on the verge of tears.

The Suits star said: ‘Any woman, especially when they’re pregnant, you’re really vulnerable.

‘So that was made really challenging and then when you have a newborn – especially as a woman, it’s really, it’s a lot.

‘So you add this on top of just trying to be a new mum or trying to be a newlywed.’

She also thanked interviewer Tom Bradby for asking how she is coping, saying: ‘Not many people have asked if I’m OK.’
