Prince Harry is taking part in a race to the South Pole with a team of wounded British servicemen and women in aid of the Walking With The Wounded charity.
Harry will undertake the 208-mile-long trek as part of the Great Britain team as they take on similar teams from the United States and others from nations throughout the Commonwealth.
The service personnel in Harry’s team are Sergeant Duncan Slater, Major Kate Philp, Captain Guy Disney and Captain Ibrar Ali.
‘These men and women have given their all in the cause of freedom, in our cause,’ the Prince said at the launch event.
‘That they should once again step into the breach – this time facing down the extreme physical and mental challenges of trekking to the South Pole – just underlines their remarkable qualities.’
