No further action will be taken over an alleged shooting of two birds of prey which Prince Harry was suspected of being involved in.
There was ‘insufficient evidence’ to bring criminal proceedings over claims that two rare and protected hen harriers were killed, the Crown Prosecution said.


Prince Harry, his friend William van Cutsem, 28, and gamekeeper David Clarke, 58, were questioned after admitting they were in the area but had ‘no knowledge’ of a shooting.
The CPS said: ‘The bodies have not been found and there is no forensic or ballistic evidence. Witnesses also heard unexplained shooting before the three suspects said they were present at the scene, so other people cannot be ruled out.’
