We always knew that Harry Styles was pop royalty – but we did not predict this plot twist.
A Spanish channel had the incredible scoop that the Sign Of The Times singer has become a father, welcoming a baby with… er, the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle.
Ah, we see what happened there.
Spanish entertainment show Cuéntamelo Ya! mixed up Prince Harry and the other royal Hazza when running a story on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcoming baby Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor to the world.
Over footage of Prince Harry holding his son, the ticker tape read ‘Harry Styles y Meghan Markle’ – and luckily for us, one fan caught the hilarious mix-up.
Ana, at @harrymariposa, posted a screenshot of the error, and wrote: ‘Aww Harry Styles and Megan <3.’
Needless to say, Directioners found the mistake hilarious, with some quoting lyrics to Harry’s song Kiwi – ‘I’m having your baby, it’s none of your business’.
Bizarrely, this isn’t the only instance of Archie’s parentage being messed up, as the Royal Family’s own website announced the baby had been welcomed by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – aka Prince William and Kate Middleton.
The PR blunder on Royal.co.uk read: ‘‘Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was born at 05.26am on Monday May 6.
‘He is the first child of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and is seventh in line to the throne. Archie weighed 7lb 3oz and The Duke of Sussex was present for the birth.’
Poor Prince Harry, being shoved out left right and centre.
While baby Archie was entering the world, his apparent father Harry Styles was in New York, preparing to host the Met Gala.
The 25-year-old was hosting the fashion event alongside Lady Gaga and Serena Williams, and served us major looks on the pink carpet in a semi-sheer blouse, high-waisted trousers, heels and one solitary pearl earring.
Harry even got his ears pierced the day before to rock the jewellery – now that’s dedication.
And after walking the pink carpet, the star was seen singing his heart out as Cher performed a medley of her hits.
