Royal baby fan gives hilarious interview as Meghan Markle gives birth

Meghan and Harry have safely welcomed their newborn son into the world.

But moments before the royal baby’s arrival was announced, one enthusiastic fan presented her unique perspective about the birth live on TV.

Clutching two giant baby balloons, the excited woman told Sky News presenter Katerina Vittozzi that she had driven down from Wales early this morning.

When asked what gender she thought the child might be, she pointed at one of the balloons and said: ‘They do sell Afro-American babies now, of ethnic minorities.’

She was then asked how long she thought Meghan’s labour was going to take, to which she replied: ‘I’ve no idea, I’ve never been been in labour. I’ve only voted Labour.’

The interview then concluded with her saying that she thought the couple would be having twins.

Inspecting one of the inflatable baby balloons, she continued: ‘Somebody sabotaged my twin while I’ve been absent. When I went to the ladies loo.’

The footage has already been widely shared on social media, with people already calling it the ‘best Royal Baby interview you will see today’.

Another person joked: ‘A prime example of why journalists should not interview the general public live on air.’

Meghan gave birth to a healthy baby boy earlier today at 5.26am.

The newborn, who is seventh in line to the throne, weighed 7lbs 3oz.

In a short public statement, Harry told reporters that the couple had not settled on a name just yet.

He said: ‘We have a very healthy boy. Mother and baby are doing incredibly well. It has been the most amazing experience I could have ever possibly imagined.

‘How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension. I’m absolutely thrilled and so grateful for all the love and support out there. It has been amazing.’

Meghan’s mum, Doria Ragland, is currently with the couple at Frogmore Cottage and is said to be ‘overjoyed’ by the arrival of her first grandchild.
