Prince Harry has cancelled the first day of his trip to The Netherlands next week as the whole world is waiting for the arrival of the new royal baby.

Kensington Palace announced on Wednesday that the Duke of Sussex would be visiting  Amsterdam on Wednesday May 8 to Thursday May 9 to officially launch the one year countdown to the Invictus Games 2020.

He has now, however, been forced to cancel his trip due to ‘logistical planning’ – which could in other words mean Meghan has not yet gone into labour.

However, a spokesman for the duke has insisted it has nothing to do with the arrival of Baby Sussex.

Harry is currently scheduled to travel directly to The Hague on Thursday 9 May instead of staying overnight, but this could also get cancelled.

A spokesman for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said: ‘Due to the logistical planning for the travelling press to cover visits and engagements by The Royal Family, we have taken the decision to postpone The Duke of Sussex’s scheduled visit to Amsterdam on Wednesday 8th May 2019.

‘The Duke is currently scheduled to travel to The Hague on Thursday 9th May for the launch of the Invictus Games The Hague 2020 as planned.’

This comes after palace sources said Meghan has not yet given birth.

Speculation has been rife over the last couple of days that the Duchess of Sussex may have given birth in secret, but there has still been no official word of a new royal’s arrival.

Meghan had said earlier in her pregnancy that her due date was at the end of April or towards the beginning of May.

That has now created something that is being referred to as a Sussex Standby – the people who are queuing up to wish Meghan, Harry and their first child well.

Things really heated up yesterday when people tried to work out if Prince Harry’s upcoming trip to Amsterdam was a sign the baby is already here.

That led some to believe that his wife had given birth at some point last week.

There was also a buzz around a visit by the Queen to Frogmore House, Harry and Meghan’s home, over Easter.

However, royal insiders insist this was just a courtesy visit, welcoming the couple to their new house.

The rumour mill was further stoked by Chris Evans telling listeners to his radio show that Meghan had already given birth.

Many believed that they would announce the birth today because it was Princess Charlotte’s birthday yesterday and they did not want to overshadow that.
