Ed Sheeran has somehow bagged a role in the next Star Wars movie.

He’s a man of many talents.

The Shape Of You singer is continuing his low key acting career (after appearing as a soldier in Game Of Thrones) and is moving on to one of the biggest movie franchises in the world.

However, you might not be able to recognise him.

According to The Sun, the musician is set to feature as a stormtrooper in the movie, which stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Mark Hamill.

He’s not the only well-known stormtrooper though – or the only ginger – as it was revealed that Prince Harry rocked the white suit for The Last Jedi along with Prince William (although sadly their scene didn’t make the final cut).

The film’s set to be released next December and we could not be more hyped.

However, before then, the TV spin-off The Mandalorian is set to come to the small screen.

It was announced a couple of weeks ago that Game Of Thrones’ Pedro Pascal has been cast as the lead.

The 43-year-old actor, known for starring in Game Of Thrones and Narcos, has been cast (via Variety) in an untitled role in the forthcoming series which is set to premiere on Disney streaming service, Disney+.

The new series will be helmed by Jon Favreau and take place between Return Of The Jedi and The Force Awakens – following the exploits of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy.

A synopsis for the show, reads: ‘The rousing spy thriller will explore tales filled with espionage and daring missions to restore hope to a galaxy in the grip of a ruthless Empire.’

We could not be more ready for all the Star Wars goodness.
