Duchess of Sussex’s half-sister was turned away as she tried to deliver a letter to Kensington Palace this morning.
Samantha Markle – who has not seen Meghan for more than a decade – has been in London after declaring she wished to confront her sister over their father’s health.
The contents of the letter are unknown, but the 53-year-old was pictured speaking to a guard at the Palace gates before handing over some paper.
She attempted to visit Kensington Palace, where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also live with their three children, and was seen buying masks with the royal couple’s faces on.
Last week, she issued a public apology to the Duchess and she wished ‘things could be different,’ after months of angry twitter tirades against the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

She has also previously said that if Thomas Markle was to die, it would be on Meghan.
When asked what she would say to Meghan if given the chance, Samantha, said: ‘I would just say that there is so much water under the bridge, and so much has spun out of control.
‘Everyone was just hurt after not being included or invited to the wedding.’
Despite last speaking to Meghan around three years ago, before her relationship with Prince Harry, Samantha Markle has repeatedly engaged in high-profile interviews about her sister.

He said: ‘I think he really just wants to embrace her, and have some closure on the distance, and the misconception and really let her know that he loves her. ‘
I feel that he deserves that in return. He’s an incredible man, he’s been there for her entire life and made her everything that she is.’
Meghan reportedly last saw her father Thomas Markle around two years ago, and reportedly has had no contact with him since the wedding.
It is believed she has not been contact with him either since her marriage after Mr Markle was caught selling photographs of himself to the paparazzi.

Meghan released a statement regarding her father’s health after he pulled out of attending the royal wedding in May.
‘Sadly, my father will not be attending our wedding,’ the short statement read.
Referencing Thomas Markle’s rumoured heart attack as well as the media circus surrounding him, Meghan continued: ‘I have always cared for my father and hope he can be given the space he needs to focus on his health.’
