Meghan Markle has been joined by her mother Doria to mark the launch of a cookbook for the Grenfell Tower community.
This is the first time she has visited the UK since her daughter’s wedding in May, and the first time the two have been seen together since the big day.
The 62-year-old yoga instructor was the only member of Meghan’s family to attend the nuptials.
Meghan has invited the women behind the Together cookbook – which was published this week with a foreword by the Duchess – to an outdoor reception in the grounds of Kensington Palace.
The publication aims to support the kitchen where the cooks meet, which was only open two days a week because of lack of funding.

Meghan was inspired to help the Hubb Community Kitchen in North Kensington after making her first private trip there.
The women of the kitchen made their own personal recipes featured in the cookbook, many of which have been handed down through generations.
Guests enjoyed the home-made dishes including coconut chicken curry, aubergine masala and a range of chapatis and sharing dips, as well as caramelised plum upside-down cake, and spiced mint tea.
Meghan joined the women to help make the delicious food, before her mother and husband Harry arrived to enjoy the reception.
Guests include members of the local community, representatives from Ebury Press – the publishers of the book – the Al Manaar Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre, where the cooks are based, and the Royal Foundation.

The Duchess first visited the kitchen in January 2018, to see how they used food to help unite the community and she made a number of private visits thereafter, joining in with the cooking and watching their community thrive.
Kensington Palace also released a video to accompany the pictures and Meghan’s passion for her project is evident as she talks animatedly about the healing power of food in communities.
Meghan revealed in February, during the inaugural The Royal Foundation Forum, how she had already been working in secret.
When host, BBC presenter and Radio 1 newsreader Tina Daheley, asked Meghan, who moved to London in November following the announcement of her engagement to Harry, if she was able to divulge what projects she is working on, she revealed: ‘Sadly, I can’t. But it’s to be continued’.’
Meghan seemed keen to stress that she has been quietly working behind the scenes.

‘I think that, knowing that I’ve just been here for three months, with that said, for me it’s very important to, once you hit the ground running, even if you’re doing it quietly behind the scenes – which is what I’ve focused my energy on thus far – is meeting with the right people and the right organisations.
‘I’m quietly learning so I can maximise the opportunity we have here to really make an impact.’
This is the first time Meghan has been seen with any of her family since the wedding.
Her father, Thomas Markle, was supposed to walk her down the aisle but was did not attend after he was caught selling photographs of himself to the paparazzi and reportedly suffering a heart attack when he was exposed.
He has since engaged in a number of high-profile interviews pleading with Meghan to get in touch with him.
