Prince Harry sang a Hamilton song about his ancestor King George III after he and Meghan Markle attended last night’s show as guests of honour.
The couple joined the show’s creator Lin-Manuel Miranda for a performance of the hit play to raise money for the Duke of Sussex’s HIV charity, Sentebale.
When the musical ended, they went onstage to share their appreciation for the performance with the cast, including the man who played the king.
That’s when Prince Harry broke into song momentarily, singing ‘You say…’ before cutting himself off and joking to Miranda ‘you did try, but I said no’.
The Royals had sat with the audience in the royal circle in London’s Victoria Palace Theatre before they got up on stage.

Miranda said it was rare you would get a direct descendent of a character sat in the audience.
He added: ‘The prince’s sixth-great-grandfather (King George III) is a character so that’ll be fun and surreal for all of us.’
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex hosted the gala performance for Prince Harry’s charity Sentebale, which he founded alongside Prince Seeiso of Lesotho.
The gala managed to raise nearly £300,000, which will be used to improve the lives of children and young people affected by HIV in southern Africa.
